17 Oct Bourjois: new lips, eyes and nails
It feels like aaaages since I last did a Bourjois post, and since you all love Bourjois, I thought I’d better rectify that!
As ever, the brand has lots of exciting new things to talk about, so let’s get down to business.
First off, there’s Rouge Edition 12 Hours Lipstick (£7.99), which gives you 12 hours wear without the need to retouch. It’s also non-drying and the formulation is silky and creamy, thanks to the inclusion of shea butter, plus those colour-fixing silk powders. Need to put this one to the test!
There’s some great shades too, eight to be precise. And for those who remember the cult Pour La Vie lipstick, one of the most-requested shades, Pamplemousse, has been reintroduced into this line by popular demand. Rouge Edition 12 Hours is out now.
Moving on to the Smoky Stories Palette (£7.99), which is your go-to this season for creating the eternally popular smoky eye and is also out now. It comes in 8 pre-coordinated shade variants, all of which are super-wearable, blendable and buildable.
Along with three shades, the palettes also feature a top coat shadow with highly concentrated glitter particles, and a cream-powder texture with integrated base shadow primer.
The double-ended applicator has a foam side for blending and a flocked side for precise outlining and an eyeliner effect. I have four of the shades here, and will update this post with a swatch or two very soon, so keep checking back.
Finally, here’s a sneak peek of the new 1 Seconde Nail Polish (£5.99), which doesn’t hit the shops until November.
The two new shades in the picture are left, Glitterizer, which can be used alone or as a topcoat, and right, Grey to Meet You, a silvery grey. The red is 1 Seconde Nail Polish in Rouge in Style.
Haven’t tried them yet but apparently all you need is one coat and you’re good to go. A full report coming on that claim soon!
