Boss Jour Pour Femme

Boss Jour Pour Femme

It’s funny how some scents instantly transport you back to a past memory or moment, isn’t it?

Boss Jour Pour Femme has this ability; one spritz and suddenly I’m back in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, when I was editor of a magazine, bought my first flat, and learned to drive (a black Fiat Punto with ridiculously heavy steering, FYI). Good times.

It’s not really surprising then that Boss Jour Pour Femme makes me feel pretty positive and upbeat!

The composition is fruity floral – a fragrance family that really reminds me of that time in my life, as I seem to recall a surge in citrussy florals in the 90’s: Acqua di Gio, Davidoff Cool Water Woman and Ralph Lauren Polo Sport Woman (one of my all-time faves) are a few that spring to mind.

It opens with grapefruit flower and lime, while at the heart you’ve got freesia, lily of the valley and honeysuckle. The base notes are richer – white birch and creamy amber give a musky finish.

It definitely has a mass appeal and I think will become a major player. And it seems that Boss Jour Pour Femme Ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow and I are on the same page; Paltrow states on the press release, “It’s a definite mood boost, upbeat and energising.”

Boss Jour Pour Femme costs from £35 for 30ml Eau De Parfum; body products from £20.
