Review: Privet Beauty, London

You don’t need to be green-fingered to fall in love with Privet Beauty, a quirky new beauty salon in West London where nail polish resides in plant pots, and you are pummelled and ‘pruned’ in cabins, huts and sheds.

The interior is part Chelsea Flower Show, part Alpine ski chalet and part Kew Gardens, with lots of wood, topiary, vintage touches and more than a few logs as you can see!

There’s also The Orangery tanning space, and the Mani and Pedi-cured Garden (below), for anything from a quick file and polish to a luxury hand and nail treatment.

But this totally unique, if slightly bonkers, pamper palace won’t just appeal to you ladies; in fact your other half will feel right at home here, as there are some great massages on the menu and a Toolshed treatment room just for him.

He may even brush shoulders with the likes of Ibiza DJ legend Antz, or hair supremo Lee Stafford, both of whom have visited recently.

I spent two blissful hours in Privet’s log cabin last weekend, kicking off with a nothing less than first-class deep tissue full body massage (pleasurable pain is where it’s at don’t you know!), followed by a manicure and pedicure using Essie colours; Sure Shot for my feet, and Warm and Toasty Turtleneck for my fingers.

Oh and get this – their blogger is called Anita Bush (geddit?)!
