The Windle & Moodie Haircare Line

The Windle & Moodie Haircare Line

With a pedigree that includes over 30 years experience in the industry, many A-list celebrity and model clients and a well established salon in the heart of London’s Covent Garden, its high time that acclaimed hairdressing duo, Paul Windle and Neil Moodie, launched a haircare range.

Five years in the making, I got a sneak preview the other day, and reckon it’s been well worth the wait. Made in the UK and featuring the antioxidant power of food-grade teas, the idea is that our skin has long been benefiting from such ingredients, but not our hair.

This eco-friendly range, which contains no propylene glycol or parabens, is set to change that; think ‘skincare for the hair.’ Below, is the Windle & Moodie salon’s ‘Wall of Fame’ – so cool!

The range includes three treatment shampoos (from £16.50) – Nourishing, Fortifying and Healthy Head – which repair, protect and strengthen the hair in addition to cleansing. They are free of sulphates, propylene glycol, silicones and parabens.

There is also the gentle Everyday Shampoo (£14.50), Nourishing and Fortifying Conditioners (£18 each), Essential Oils Elixir (£26) – a pre-shampoo treatment which sounds intriguing and is on my list to try as soon as possible, and Intense Treatment Masque (£29).

The final product in this range is the Invisible Day & Night Cream (£18.50) which is applied while you sleep to prevent damage – did you know that more damage is done to hair in the process of sleeping, when hairs rub against each other and create friction? No, neither did I!

To complement these products, there is a range of 13 styling products to fit all needs and all hair requirements.

On my list to try is Oceanic Spray (£20) which gives hair that covetable, textured beachy look, Shine & Smoothing Oil (£21), which contains a blow-drying agent to tame flyaways, a UV filter and can be used on wet or dry hair, and Matte Texture Spray (£20), an invisible spray to create instant texture, volume and body, a bit like a dry shampoo but without the residue, apparently.

Windle & Moodie Haircare launches on 1st August online at www.windleandmoodie.com and will be available from Liberty on 1st September 2014.
