16 Jan The perfect nude nail polish…
Firstly, I want to apologise for not getting around to posting this year up till now – Christmas, work and life has just got in the way!
But I’m back, and promise that this blog is going to be bigger and better in 2015, kicking off with this luscious little find.
I have an army of nude nail polishes in my collection, all possessing ever-so-slightly different tones. If you’re a nude fetishist like me, you’ll understand what I mean when I say that this is entirely normal!
And then OPI’s Do You Take Lei Away? from the new Hawaii collection (read my review here), came into my life and all the others got shelved. This is the most gorgeous nude polish I’ve come across in a while, and to say I’m slightly obsessed with it is an understatement!
The shade is really creamy, and in certain lights you may even spy the tiniest hint of pink. It’s a cool nude, if you get what I mean, with no hint of yellow. A bit like hazelnut ice cream.
As with all light shades of nail polish, you will need at least two coats – ideally three for perfect coverage. One coat definitely isn’t enough and even with two coats you may get a bit of a streaky finish.
That said, it seems to last a good 2-3 days. One tip – make sure you seal the underside of the nail edge, as on me this is where it seems to be chipping.
The Hawaii collection is on counter in selected department stores and salons on 4th February 2015.
