Shiseido SS14 lips and cheeks

Shiseido SS14 lips and cheeks

Shiseido’s innovative SS14 collection for lips and cheeks is highly lust-worthy and I’m drooling over the new lipsticks.

First off, the clever Face Colour Enhancing Trio (£32, below) is based on the study of facial expressions and bone structure – Shiseido has identified three occurrences to the cheeks when smiling – and helps you to sculpt (cheat) great cheekbones.

SMK11 Face Color Enhancing Trio APPLE RD1Use the top shade to add a soft red tone to cheeks, the second to sculpt and the third to harmonise all three shades together. Four shade combinations to choose from; Lychee, Peach, Plum and Apple.

Lacquer Gloss (£21, below) coats lips with a 3-layer structure – the first conditions and smooths, the second paints on colour, while the third locks it onto the lips for hours. The description implies it applies in three stages but it doesn’t!

I tried shade PK304 Babydoll, a pretty coral/rose pink that’s perfect for this time of year. Give it a good mix in the tube with the applicator before you apply, to blend the formula.

I loved the way this felt super-moisturising on my lips, and it also seemed to help with dryness. I wouldn’t say it lasted for ‘hours’, but I did only apply one coat. And I wish it had an SPF as I’d love this for the beach! Eight shades to choose from, spanning coral, violet, red, pink, beige and coffee.

SMK11 Lacquer Rouge BONBON PK425Lacquer Rouge (£23.50, above) gives lips a lacquer-like finish in one coat and the high-shine formula is the definition of glam. Seven shades to choose from, spanning red, pink, rose and violet.

That’s a shame, can you order it online or get someone to bring it back from the UK for you? x

I might go to London this summer, so I will definitely be buying something from Shiseido there 😀
