20 Mar pH Formula CC Cream SPF 30+
I’m a little bit fussy when it comes to foundations, BB’s and CC’s, and have tried many top brands to find that they just don’t seem to work on my dry/dehydrated skin.
As some of you will know, I’ve been going through an extended mineral make-up phase for some time now; before that I was, and still am, a big tinted moisturiser fan (retro, huh?!). So when this pH Formula CC cream ended up in my mitts at an event recently, I was intrigued to give it a go as it sounded like it had potential – UVA and UVB filters, vitamin C and retinol being a few of the ingredients.
PH Formula is a pharma-cosmeceutical brand from Spain that has been developed for the treatment of skin issues including ageing, acne and pigmentation. It’s also positioned as a next generation alternative to chemical skin resurfacing procedures.
My favourite thing is the texture – it blends smoothly and evens out my skin tone nicely, leaving quite a matte effect while still feeling comfortable.
While it didn’t cover up larger blemishes – I had to use a bit of concealer on top – it’s definitely going to be useful in the coming summer months when you have a bit of colour, and/or want to sit in the sun knowing that your skin will be protected. I think it’s a bit of a find.
I have the medium shade, which seems to be fine for my fair colouring. There are two other shades, Light and Dark.
pH Formula CC Cream SPF 30+ costs £28.90. Because it’s so new to this country, it is only available at the moment via the UK distributor’s Facebook page, ‘Aspire & Co Ltd’ – if you’d like to buy, ‘like’ the page then message them to have one posted out to you.
