I’m celebrating New Years Eve tonight instead of tomorrow night – for starters there’s no forking out double fare for a taxi as you do on the 31st, so it makes a whole lot of sense to me!

So despite the dregs of a flu virus hanging around since Christmas Eve, I’m determined to party! As I didn’t get on with the Kiss nail wraps, I decided to go for good old polish instead.

I wanted to get away from the traditional party sparkle so I finally opted for No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Stand Back – love this polish’s wide brush – topped with Guerlain Ultra Violet Top Coat from the Crazy Paris collection (which you can read about here), in case I come into contact with any UV light.

Obviously you can’t see the finished effect as I don’t have a UV light in the house, but the top coat has made the colour ridiculously glossy. The punchy blue clashes prettily with the black and neon pink skirt which I plan to wear – see below. Looks more orange than pink in the picture, but hopefully you get the idea!
