03 Sep NEW Maybelline Eye Studio Master Duo Eyeliner
When I first heard about Maybelline’s new Master Duo Eyeliner (£5.29), I was excited to try it as I’m really into my winged cat’s eyes at the moment.
The liner gives you two options thanks to a dual-sided applicator which is an undeniably nifty idea; you can create a thick line with the wide side, or a thin line with the skinny side, depending on how you use it – see below.
But no matter how hard I tried to make this work, I just didn’t get on with it. Having used a fair few liquid liners lately I’m not exactly out of practice, but then I had another thought – maybe it’s my eyelids!
Before you start thinking I’m some kind of eye freak, I can assure you that I’m not. It’s just that this is not the most controlled of liners, so maybe it would work just fine for someone with more ‘youthful’ eyes.
So if you fall into the nubile category, try it for yourself and see how you get on. If you’re more mature or your eyelids are not as firm as they once were, I would advise a liner with a point, which will give you a bit more control when trying to achieve a perfect line.
On a positive note, staying power is very good (it’s all thanks to the strong pigment adhesion), and the product also removes easily.
Has this eyeliner worked for you? Do you love or loathe it?
