15 Aug Maybelline Color Show Bleached Neons nail polish
I’m loving the Bleached Neons nail polishes (£3.99 each) from Maybelline, they’re very wearable and less in-your-face than full-on neons.
There are four shades in the range, Sun Flare, Coral Heat, Tropink and Chic Chater.
I’m wearing Sun Flare on my nails below, a lively pastel shade that reminds me of orange refreshers – can you still buy those? It also matches perfectly with my new peach silk Theory blouse which I’m rather pleased about.
The finish is quite matte and I used two coats which was absolutely fine, but on close inspection coverage is a little streaky, so perfectionists may prefer to apply three thin coats for best results.
A brief note on staying power – I applied it yesterday morning and if you look closely on the first picture, you can see it’s already chipped a bit at the top of my thumbnail. The remaining nails are holding up okay though.
In the picture above (left to right), you have Coral Heat which I also love the look of, Sun Flare and finally, Mint-Acid-Ittude which is from the Acid Wash Effect collection of five blue shades with an unusual paint-splattered effect.
