22 Aug Maybelline Big Eyes Eyeshadow Palettes and Liners
Have you seen this range from the ever-creative Maybelline New York – make-up for creating big, wide eyes!
Big Eyes Eyeshadow Palettes (£6.99 each) come in five shades, including Luminous Purple, Brown, Turquoise, Blue and Grass (below).
So just four steps equals brighter-looking peepers – there’s an illustration on the back of the palettes to show you how to do it. The light-catching primer (centre shade) is applied first, followed by the top left shade, then the bottom left shade and finally the intense colour shade.
I have the Purple and the Grass and I’m already in love with the shades in the Purple (no surprise there really as I love purple!) which I’ve swatched on my hand below. I’m currently going through an extended stage of not wearing eyeshadow, but this has made me want to wear it again. Each one looks beautiful in the sunlight!
Big Eyes Liners (£4.99 each) are double-ended pencils with black at one end and either nude or white at the other, which is used to brighten brow bones, inside your waterline, to highlight cheekbones and even to define your Cupid’s bow.
The texture is soft and blendable, and I really like the nude shade which is a softer alternative to white which can be quite stark. It really gives you a brighter, more wide-awake look when used inside your waterline, so I’m keeping this in my make-up bag for my forthcoming Ibiza trip and (dare I say it) Christmas!
There’s also a Big Eyes Mascara (£8.99) in the range to complete your doe-eyed look.
