07 Apr John Frieda Sheer Blonde Brightening Oil Elixir
Blondes may have more fun but when it comes to shiny hair, brunettes tend to have the upper hand. This is because light reflects better off darker surfaces, and when fair hair is dull, over processed or over styled, no amount of light will make it shine!
Hairdressing legend John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde range was one of the first high-street haircare ranges specifically developed for fair hair. Unsurprisingly, it was a runaway success and the range continues to grow with innovative new products.
New Sheer Blonde Brightening Oil Elixir (£9.99, 100ml) has the power to pep up dull hair, making it gleam while detangling and calming flyaways.
Using unique technology, sunflower oil and silicone, it boosts the hair’s ability to reflect light off the hair fibres.
You can either apply it to the lengths and ends of damp hair before blow-drying for heat protection, or apply a few drops to the ends of dry hair, which is what I did.
A few drops initially seemed to much even for my long, medium textured hair, and my hands felt oily which I was a little concerned about.
But the formula disappeared into my locks, leaving them tamed, feeling healthier and with a lovely, fresh shimmer – no greasiness whatsoever.
It’s suitable for all blondes and smells beautiful, too. Recommended.
Available nationwide in Boots.
