19 Feb Illamasqua Glamore collection preview
There are many things in this world that can be defined as glamorous, and yesterday I learnt that nothing beats a bit of Glamore!
By the way, that’s not a spelling mistake, it’s simply the beauty brand Illamasqua’s very own version of glamour, and it’s all about bold colour and texture.
The Glamore collection focuses on nails and lips: Shattered Star Nails and Satin Finish Glamore Lipstick – three shades of glitter nail varnish and three shades of moisture-rich lipstick with a satin finish, a first for Illamasqua.
The multi-dimensional glitter nail polishes are made in layers of dust and sparkle, so they really last. At the press event yesterday, Illamasqua’s Creative Director Alex Box, told us that they also strengthened and therefore lengthened her nails.
I’m wearing Fire Rose on my nails above, and have photographed them with the flash on and off to try and capture the glitter effect.That’s just one coat!
In the group shot from left to right, is Fire Rose (pink), Trilliant (champagne) and Marquise (orange).
The lipstick shades are strong, exotic and uplifting, they remind me of sunshine and the vibrant colours of the Caribbean. Colour pay-off is excellent and the satin finish texture is just heavenly on the lips. Staying power is pretty awesome, too.
Swatched above from top to bottom is Glissade (bold/ fuschia pink), Luster (candy pink) and Soaked (orange). I’m actually jetting off to the Dominican Republic in March and Glissade will be coming with me!
