14 Apr Going the distance with Benefit 15 Hour Stay Flawless Primer
Benefit’s newest product is a makeup primer that claims to lock your foundation on like a magnet, so that it lasts 15 hours.
Most of the time I’m a tinted moisturiser kinda girl (ask me for my absolute fave at the moment) but I was curious to see if this would improve the look of my skin. So with the addition of Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Makeup, I put Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer to the test.
It’s pretty easy to use, you simply apply the stick all over your face in circular motions. It feels quite cooling and you can feel it doing something, while giving skin a matte appearance. I smoothed foundation on immediately afterwards as recommended, but had a bit of trouble blending and my base ended up looking a bit patchy – I put this down to the fact that my skin at this time of the year is quite dehydrated, it’s also possible that I used a bit too much primer.
There’s no getting away from the fact that it does seem to ‘lock’ your base in place though, I had it on all day and it did not budge.
All skin types can use this primer, however my feeling is that it would be best suited to younger, normal/combination/oily skins – I think dry skin types may struggle with it, but I’d be interested to hear what other people think.
There’s a third product in Benefit’s Flawless family (below) – Hello Flawless Custom Powder Cover-Up, which is a powder, concealer and base in one. I’m loving it lots.
