02 Jan Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow
Want to treat your eyes to a little couture colour? Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow (£18) launches next month, and the nine-strong collection has some really wearable (and waterproof) shades that promise to stay true and intense for a massive 16 hours.
I’ve been testing Gris Organza (below left) and Blue Soie (below right) – a muted moss green with a slight shimmer, and a smoky, slightly iridescent midnight blue-black which I am already in love with.
Containing silica beads and an ingredient called boron nitride, the latter sounds a bit scary, however when combined with the silica beads the texture is transformed so that it’s almost weightless, super soft and creamy.
The colour glides onto the skin and can be applied with fingers or a brush for more definition. You can wear it under another eyeshadow, as a base or applied over eyeshadow as an eyeliner.
In my humble opinion, Ombre Couture is one of spring’s must-have make-up essentials, and is available from 1st February. For stockist information, call 01932 233 824.
