Try as I might, I can’t ever seem to write a bad word about Elemis. Sorry but their products are just too damn good. Well they work for me, anyway!
Whether you’re as big on this great British brand as me or not, here comes another positive review for the first product in the Pro-Intense range, Lift Effect Youthful Contours Daily Lotion (£55, 3oml).
I’m a little bit addicted to firming and contouring lotions and potions, as I feel as though my skin could sometimes do with a bit of a lift, especially for special occasions. And there’s no harm in a bit of tightening up, is there?
However, this could all be in my mind as when I last saw leading cosmetic surgeon Alex Karidis, he told me I wasn’t doing too badly for my age, something which I am still dining out on!
Plus I’ve nearly finished my Dr Perricone High Potency Amine Face Lift (another skin firming goodie), so was keen to try Pro-Intense Lift Effect as I’d heard great things. It’s all down to the plant stem cells that claim to help improve tone and texture, giving the appearance of a firmer jawline and taut cheeks.
I’ve been using it instead of a daytime moisturiser for about a month now, and although I’m not in the target age group (which I believe is 50+), I know it works as not only does it feel as though it’s doing something when you apply it, I have seen the evidence – one of the last photos taken of me revealed a sharper jawline and cheekbones. Job done.
