23 Oct Champagne is good for your skin – cheers!
It’s the news that many of us have been waiting for – Champagne is officially good for you, well, for your skin at least!
This iconic tipple has never been short of fans, and for centuries it has been claimed that it has many beneficial health (and beauty) properties: Napoleon never went to war without it, Madame de Pompadour quoted that “Champagne is the only wine that leaves a woman beautiful after drinking it”, while Brigitte Bardot exclaimed that “Champagne is the one thing that gives me zest when I feel tired.”
Thanks to the grape seed extract, Champagne is actually packed with anti-ageing antioxidants, a beauty benefit that French brand Aysse has capitalised upon, with its new range of luxurious skin and bodycare products.
Additional components include flavonoids, amino acids, organic acids, vitamins and minerals, all of which have an effect on collagen production, cellular repair and renewal, and hydration.
There are 15 products in the line-up, with skincare solutions for the under and over 40’s, two masques and a bodycare range. Each product contains on average 1-5% Champenois vineyard extracts.
So far I’ve tried the Eau de Creme which can be seen in the centre of the photograph above (excuse the grainy quality, it was so dark yesterday!). It’s a lightweight spray-on body lotion which absorbs almost instantly and leaves skin subtly scented and hydrated into the next day.
It’s so quick to use and is ideal for taking to the gym or on holiday. I absolutely love it and am looking forward to trying the skincare.
Aysse is available now and is exclusive to www.feelunique.com. Prices start at £24 and there is currently a free Aysse Discovery Set with every purchase. Standard delivery is free.
