Chilled white wine, antioxidant-loaded juices and healthy nibbles does not define a typical Monday in the life of Ms Voyage. However, today was an exception, as the beauty cognoscenti gathered in central London to celebrate the launch of French vinotherapy range Caudalie’s first boutique spa in the UK.
An exciting addition to the capital’s beauty scene, the boutique is a celebration of all things Caudalie, and is long overdue in the UK considering the brand is nearly two decades old. And if you’ve ever tried the brand’s best-selling Eau de Beaute beauty elixir, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Step inside and the illustrations, photos and flat screens depicting the essence of Caudalie’s heritage, transport you instantly to Bordeaux on a balmy summer’s day. Even the lights look like large grapes!
Taking centre stage is the Barrel Beauty Bar, where you can enjoy an express beauty flash facial, hand massage or personalised consultation with no appointment needed.
You can also create your own bespoke fresh Crushed Cabernet Scrub with natural ingredients including Gironde honey, grapeseeds and brown sugar; I chose to personalise mine with lemongrass and rosemary, which have firming and draining properties.
Wander downstairs and you’ll find the tranquil spa treatment room where you can indulge in hour-long signature facials and massages (by appointment).
Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit next time you’re in London town.
