31 Mar Bourjois SS14 new launches for nails
So many pretty and useful summer nail products on the horizon from Bourjois – I adore the new season Collection Nude nail colours (£5.99 each) which are based on a nude palette, but with a chic pastel twist.
Joining the existing So Laque Glossy neutrals Bcbeige and Coton Sur Ton are five new shades – Indispen-sable, a muted beige; Pina Chocolada, a warm brown; Tombee a Pink, a vintage rose pink; Pamplerousse, a lightly bleached coral, and Peace and Mauve, a soft and fresh lilac.
So far I’ve tried Indispen-sable (above) and Peace and Mauve (below). Designed for shorter nails but by no means exclusively, and said to last up to 10 days, I found that you need to wear both a base and a top coat to prevent early chipping and get the most out of your manicure.
And while Indispen-sable required only one or two coats, I had to apply three coats of Peace and Mauve to get the opaque coverage I prefer when wearing such bleached out pastels. Below from left to right: Peace and Mauve, Indispen-sable, Tombee a Pink. Collection Nude launches in mid May.
I also can’t get enough of the new Instant Dry Nail Enamel Dryer (£5.99, below), a quick dry product which you simply drop onto freshly painted nails and you’re good to go. Anyone who is time-poor will love this.
The liquid formula feels a little like an oil; it spreads evenly over the nail surface for a glossy finish and nourishes the cuticles too, thanks to the inclusion of an ingredient called cotton oil. Launching in mid April.
Also launching soon is 1 Second Magic Nail Polish Remover for Hands & Feet which removes polish from nails and toenails without cotton wool – see it at the back of the main group shot above.
Launching mid May are the Nail and Cuticle tattoos (£5.99 for 3 sheets of small, medium and large tattoos); choose from Calligraphic, which evokes nature and plants, or Graphic, which features conceptual shapes inspired by origami.
1 Second Magic Nail Polish Remover is exclusive to Beautymart and www.thisisbeautymart.com from mid-April, and available from www.asos.com, Amazon and www.very.co.uk from mid May. Nail and Cuticle Tattoos will be available from www.asos.com.
