Guerlain Christmas Collection 2013 preview

Guerlain Christmas Collection 2013 preview

Whenever I think of Guerlain I am transported back in time to when I was a little girl. My similarly beauty-obsessed mother used to work for the French perfume house (which was founded in 1828!) and I always remember her dressing table being a Guerlain shrine – she even named our pet Afghan hound Shalimar in homage to the fragrance she loved so much.

Fast forward to the Crazy Paris Christmas Collection 2013, which has retained the old-school glamour and beautiful formulations of classic Guerlain, albeit with a modern twist.

As the collection is not out till November 1st, this is just a quick preview of what’s to come. One of my favourite things is La Petite Rose Noire So Crazy Perfumed Shimmer Powder Body & Hair, which dresses skin and hair in the finest, shimmery scented powder. It’s beautiful and very covetable, take a look:

The picture below shows a few of the other items, including Rouge G de Guerlain Long-Lasting Lip Colour, Crazy Paris Eye Palette Neon Look, and Ultra Violet Top Coat which turns nails fluorescent under UV light.

And I won’t say too much, but you must also check out the updated loose and pressed powders which Guerlain is so renowned for – they’re a party season essential.

Hi Rebecca, would like to know how you rate clinique dramatically different moisturiser please and could it be used near the eyes? If not do you recommend an eye cream? Tia, Sarah.

          Hi Sarah,

I used to use Dramatically Different and do like it, I think it’s one of their most popular products which I guess speaks for itself! I personally wouldn’t use any face cream near the eyes though, especially if prone to puffiness. The eye cream I’m loving at the moment is Caudalie Vinexpert Eye & Lip Serum, which is good for all skin types.Decleor and Elemis also have good ones.

          Rebecca x
