Green People Age Defy+ Soft Buff Skin Exfoliator

Green People Age Defy+ Soft Buff Skin Exfoliator

Who says organic can’t be scientific? Green People’s new range, Age Defy+, combines nature and science in balance ‘for a youthful you’. It’s ideal for women (and men, why not?) aged 35+.

The nine-strong product line-up contains facial products (and a skin supplement) that promise to do all those anti-ageing things including banishing age spots, evening out skin tone, fighting free radicals and protecting skin cells.

We all need to exfoliate, however if you have sensitive skin like me, you need to be careful what you use – enzyme-based products are gentler and therefore a better option for delicate skin types than traditional grainy exfoliators.

With three-way exfoliation thanks to high potency enzymes from pineapple extract, which is said to gently dissolve the protein bonds that hold excess hard and dead skin cells to the skin’s surface, plus bamboo stem and bentonite clay, I was curious to try out Soft Buff Skin Exfoliator (£19.95 for 30ml).

The consistency is creamy and the grainy bits are very fine. The scent is fruity (not particularly pineapple-y though) and it’s easy to apply using small, circular motions. It indeed feels very gentle. To remove, you rinse with lukewarm water.

Afterwards, my skin felt good but slightly dry. The following morning, my skin looked really clear, smooth and even toned. Quite impressive after only just one use – it’s recommended that you use twice a week. I’m looking forward to using it again.

My foundation smoothed on easily but I did end up with a bit of flakiness on my chin – not sure why, maybe I didn’t spend enough time applying the product here!

This product is made with 92.4% certified organically grown ingredients. No Green People products are tested on animals and never contain SLS, parabens, alcohol, propylene glycol, plus many other ‘nasties.’
