Going nuts for Weleda Almond Body Care range

Going nuts for Weleda Almond Body Care range

Good afternoon Beauty Voyagers, firstly I want to apologise for the lack of posts lately – I’ve been rather distracted trying to buy and sell a flat, jetting to Ibiza for a week’s holiday, not to mention the day job and the odd press event!

Yes it’s been a bit of a crazy end to the summer, but I couldn’t stay away for long as there have been some great launches recently, and this one is definitely worth a look, especially if you have sensitive or delicate skin and are a fan of natural brand Weleda.

The new Almond restorative bath and body care range contains key ingredient organic almond oil, which contains unsaturated fatty acids to help strengthen the skin’s barrier function, defending it against the elements while protecting it from drying out and restoring its natural balance.

Almonds are a bit of a superfood by all accounts; eating around 23 a day is said to incorporate many vital nutrients into your diet. Containing essential fatty acids and antioxidants, their high fibre content also gives them prebiotic qualities which help maintain a healthy balance of good bacteria in the gut when eaten, so you can see how this could also benefit the skin.

I was immediately attracted to the pretty pink packaging, but what about the products themselves? There are three in the line-up – Almond Sensitive Skin Hand Cream (£9.95), Almond Sensitive Skin Body Lotion (£7.95) and Almond Sensitive Skin Body Wash (£13.95).

The threesome join the existing Almond Soothing skincare range – I’ve tried the Facial Oil and love it – and are NATRUE certified, meaning that they are entirely natural with no synthetic ingredients (using raw materials where possible). NATRUE is a certification scheme that helps consumers identify the highest quality, premium natural and organic products, therefore you can be confident that they conform to very strict standards.

The Weleda Almond range is available online at www.weleda.co.uk, Wholefoods Market, John Bell and Croydon and other health food stores and pharmacies. The symptoms and causes of ailments like blood dyscrasia should be made aware.
