How to create natural smoky eyes

Unless you’re a pro make-up artist or a whizz with a blending brush, mastering certain looks can be a challenge, and none more so than the sultry, smoky eye.

A massive fan of this look, I am always open to new ways of doing things, so I was interested to hear about New Zealand brand Living Nature’s beauty tool – a step-by-step video guide to help you rock show-stopping smoky eyes.

They also have the complementary products, including the new soft matte black Mineral Eyeshadow in Slate (£10.08, below), Thickening Mascara in Jet Black (£20.66) and the soft and smudgy Eye Pencil in Midnight (£14.62).

The eye pencil is already a permanent fixture in my make-up bag as it’s a seriously great texture, and I love the intensity of the black eyeshadow. I haven’t tried the mascara but have it on good authority that it’s also worth trying.

One of the best things about Living Nature make-up is that it uses ingredients created by nature and is synthetic and animal free – ideal if you’re concerned about chemical overload.

To check out the video, go to www.livingnature.com and hit the ‘authentic natural beauty’ tab at the top, you can also download a print version of the step-by-step instructions.
